A Moment in Time: August 16, 2012. Your Life is Just Like a Book!
“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

One of the things I love most about my work as a writer is that I am able to observe the similarities between the creation of a book and the creation of one’s life. It is fascinating to see how a book starts to move forward at its own rhythm. Just like it happens with our lives, once you are willing to start the first page, the rest of pages always unfold as they were meant to, not necessarily as we —the authors— have planned to.

After a year of intense work, last week I finished the second book of my ongoing trilogy While I Was Learning To Become God: “The Dead Still Want To Live”. I couldn’t believe it! Just like in real life, this new creation of mine had to go through so many steps… and not in the timely fashion that my mind would have wished for of course!

As impossible and unbelievable as it may sound, my new book “knew” exactly when it was the right time for it to come to life. Not a moment before and not a moment later either.

Isn’t this the same dynamics that life shows us every day that passes by? To me, it is very clear, that even when we think we’re doing everything possible to manifest the things and circumstances we want in our reality, life is always showing us that she’s the one having the last word in terms of “how” and “when” things are truly manifested.

Just like this new book of mine, life is a constant process that is always creating progress for us. There are so many moments in my past that I now observe from my present and think “I could have achieved ‘this or that’ lesson so much faster….” However, deep inside I know that everything has been perfect for me. This “new” understanding comes from the fact that I have finally learned to be patient, persistent, perseverant, and I have learned to adapt to life’s own natural rhythms.

Everything becomes so much easier when you see life through this lens…

Yes, impatience is one of our greater and most powerful enemies. The world “outside” is full of impatient people, full of impatient circumstances. Sometimes they even seem too many for just one of us! But there is a secret though. We must stop focusing on that “urgency” in which we are supposed to live our lives, so that we can understand how things truly work in this universe: Not a moment before and not a moment later either.

My books have taught me to be happy with the natural flow that all things have within and to move along with it. Everything we need to achieve in our life always comes in the perfect moment and in the way that benefit us the most. If we learn how to accept this law, we will have surely entered in the realm of the wise ones that know that we are not the ones controlling life because life has been controlling itself before we could come into being.

Until next time and don’t forget to be love!

I needed to read this today. No matter how quickly I want things to happen, to move forward, I have to realize that I arrived at this moment of clarity because of years of patience. My next moment will happen the same way:) As always, thank you for sharing your beautiful insights.

@32in32 Funny how life brings us everything we need at the perfect moment dear Pauline, even if it's a simple reminder like this one... ;) I love to hear you describe your 'moment' as one of clarity after years of patience... I believe that blessed are those who can freely say that. I'm so happy for you! Thank you for your lovely visit! ♥
