A Moment in Time: November 16th, 2012. Can the Word ‘Giving’ have a Different Meaning?
“The greatest miracle of life is to give generously and see how what you have given returns to you manifold.” ~Roxana Jones

A few weeks ago, I posted the above mentioned inspirational quote throughout my different social media accounts and I was very impressed with the reaction it got from many people belonging to different cultures, ideologies and beliefs. Basically, my words were interpreted as if the action of giving could only mean that the “things” we human beings give or offer must be “material” in nature, and to be more specific, must be money, food and the like.

This post made me realize how focused in matter we all are. Evidently, not many of us are directing our attention to the types of giving which are not happening through matter, and that can only occur through our thoughts and feelings.

What type of thoughts are we “giving” to our external reality? What type of feelings are we “giving” to the people we interact with every time we are able to wake-up to a brand new day?

You see, I don’t believe that true giving has to do necessarily with the amount of “things” we give. Of course, that is a part, but only a part. What I believe is that the majority of our giving is delivered through the thoughts and feelings we’re constantly sending out.

Can you grasp this? Can you realize that the giving you are offering is not always a “matter of matter” but a “matter of thought and feeling”? Once we incorporate this fact into our system of beliefs, we are able to understand that our “material giving” is the result of our “inner giving.” In other words, our generosity cannot be measured by the money or things we give but by the thoughts and feelings we have created, are creating, and will continue to mechanically re-create if we decide we don’t want or need to change them.

Goodness! This “discovery” has changed life for me in so many positive ways. I hope it does for you too.

Until next time, and don’t forget to be love!
